The Government has announced the provision of Local Restriction Support Grants (LRSG) to help businesses that have been ordered to close or are subject to restrictions that have been made to manage the spread of coronavirus. If you pay or are liable to pay business rates you will need to provide your business rates reference number, this will enable your application to be processed more quickly. If you do not provide your reference your application may be rejected and you will need to re-apply.
How much funding will be provided?
There are five separate grant schemes which will provide support to businesses ordered to close due to tier 2, or tier 3 or national restrictions, or businesses that are open and severely impacted by restrictions on socialising that are in place because an area is subject to tier 2 or tier 3 restrictions. What happens next?
All applications will be checked, and we will decide whether the business is eligible for a grant. Grants will be paid as soon as practicable after an assessment has been made. Where restrictions continue your application will be automatically be determined for each new period of restrictions, you will not need to complete an additional form.
